If you know Astrology, you would know why Strength is Key 8, Leo comes after Cancer and Libra is after Virgo (Key 9) but The Wheel of Fortune is Jupiter (a planet not an Astrological sign). Also Libra is The Scales Key 11 the center of 21 as there are 21 cards in the Major Arcana.

One more thought on this. If like me 9 and 11 are life cards, correlating to numerology of name and date of birth (Mary Greer), I believe that often being in “Hermit” energy there is a personal challenge to discover what struggles we are willing to face. Are we willing to face the Shadow work which can be a huge challenge or do we get caught up in cutting away people and things in our outside world. In this view Strength and Justice energies could very well be put into a 8 and 11 depending where we are in our journey, spiritual maturity, and life path.

In my view of this Justice definitely belongs in position 8, dealing with cutting away what we no longer need or choose in the outside world. 11 following Hermit card 9, having learned to delve deep internally, Strength should be 11 which deals with our internal struggles and strength. It is my opinion that Strength, working on our internal world and struggles (Shadow Work), is far more evolved than Justice, working on the external world of the physical and what we can struggle with outside of our selves. It is often far more of an alchemical process to turn our heart and soul into gold than to turn lead into gold. I believe that having justice in position 11 is a blind that can and would trip up most souls on the path.

Thank you so much for this explanation! 🙏 I had recently purchased a “beginner’s tarot” type book, and read about the Celtic cross, went ahead and tried one on myself, but something seemed off. Now watching this, I realize the #4 & #5 cards have their places switched. So instead of going #3 Above, #4 below and then #5 to the left, it said to do #3 above, #4 to the left, and #5 below... which isn’t making a “cross”, it’s making a circle. 😂 So Thank you for helping me figure that out! Now I’ll always remember! 💖💖

Love the idea of using specific suits for specific positions... I was thinking just that when I started watching... Has anyone tried this spread? Would love to hear about their experience.

A querent wouldn't know which card represents them best, wouldn't it make more sense to pick a card from a shuffle for the Seed? For the Goal I can interpret from their description, but for Seed there's an assumption that people are honest.

Talking of uprighting a reverse card, Paul-Fenton-Smith had a great solution and one that really works! I f a card is reversed then the lesson of the previous card has not been learned or, carried out, meaning they have to go back to learn that lesson. An example: reverse ace, you need to go back to the ten and put that lesson right. Regards-John.
